WHO WE ARE & HOW WE WORK
All-In Productions is Julia Steele Allen as Lead Impact Producer and Strategist.
Combining decades of organizing experience with a multidisciplinary artistic sensibility, our offerings are tailored to the specific project and issue.
Through rigorous collaboration, we will push the envelope of what your work makes possible in the world.
“Julia has the discipline of a rigorous community organizer and the vision and creativity of a multidisciplinary artist. In working with her to bring our 2D video game, Dot’s Home, to the stage, Julia kept the project moving with love, partnership and commitment to the vision. It could not have happened without her. I’d work with her 20 more times if I could!”
Christina Rosales, Housing & Land Justice Director, PowerSwitch Action & Co-Creator, DOT’S HOME, part of the RISE-HOME STORIES PROJECT
“Razing Liberty Square is a protagonist-centered, beautifully-rendered, and award-winning film. But, without a well-organized impact campaign where community members utilize this tool to hold bad developers and politicians accountable, it falls short of its potential. As Impact Producer, Julia helped us organizers and activists here in Miami to recognize this essential truth.”
Rachel Prestipino, VP of Policy and Community Engagement, Catalyst Miami & Member of Miami Impact Team, RAZING LIBERTY SQUARE

IMPACT PRODUCING
- 12 years of experience in the impact producing field for social-issue documentary films and other creative projects
- Highly collaborative and partner-driven approach
- Focus on winnable outcomes and deep, long-term and local work
- Emphasis on developing a clear impact campaign strategy, defined audience and authentic partnerships with organizations based on the issue, without relying on standardized approaches
- Developing “outside-of-the-box” event scenarios that move beyond traditional audience Q&As or “talk backs,” and draw out the most potential from the film while meeting the audience where they’re at

Examples from Impact Campaigns

Decade of Fire
Producer, Impact Producer
PBS Independent Lens, 2019
Impact Campaign Highlights:
- High school curriculum development process with Bronx-based public high school teachers who continue to teach the film.
- Solar-powered screening tour across Puerto Rico post-Hurricane Maria, taking the film to active sites of resistance, including an outdoor mountaintop encampment and screening it under a freeway overpass.
- Grassroots screening tour with over 70 organizational partners across the U.S. to communities that, like the South Bronx, experienced deep disinvestment in the 1970s and aggressive gentrification today. Screening events featured intergenerational dialogues between current housing activists and longtime residents to share story and strategy.

Razing Liberty Square
Impact Producer
PBS Independent Lens, 2023
Impact Campaign Highlights:
- Initiating and coordinating a Miami Impact Coalition of the film’s central protagonists, local advocacy and activist organizations, and the film team, who met weekly for over nine months to craft every aspect of the film’s successful Miami campaign and rollout.
- Screening tour to a dozen New York City public housing communities across four boroughs, partnering with tenants to use the film to fight demolition plans led by the same developer featured in the film.
- Closed-door screenings for affordable housing developers to look critically at their own practices and imagine alternatives.

Heightened Scrutiny
Impact Producer
Sundance, 2025
Impact Campaign Highlights:
- Making the film a direct tool in legislative battlegrounds: from supporting campaigns against anti-trans ballot initiatives, to screening inside state houses, to touring states where there is a full-blown legislative assault on trans people’s existence.
- Training members of Mama Dragons and supporting them as they set-up intimate and urgent events in their rural, conservative, and religious communities.
- Raising funds through screening events to keep clinics that provide gender-affirming care open, and fundraising to support families seeking this care across state lines once it is no longer available, in partnership with the Trans Youth Emergency Project.

Mariposa & the Saint: From Solitary Confinement, A Play Through Letters
Co-Playwright/ Performer/ Impact Producer
National, 2014-2017
Read our Impact Report “Transformative Art | Creative Organizing: How a Play Helped Grow the Movement to End Solitary Confinement in U.S. Prisons”
Impact Campaign Highlights:
- Performing for the Ninth Circuit Federal Judges Conference followed by a panel of seven formerly incarcerated people sharing their experiences directly to an audience of judges and corrections officials.
- Performing for nearly 1000 college students in the North Country of New York State, who would graduate to work in one of a dozen prisons in the area, and had to grapple with the issues raised in the play and hear from a formerly incarcerated person who was held for decades in one of those prisons.

Rise-Home Stories Project
Impact Producer
National, 2020-2023
A groundbreaking collaboration between multimedia storytellers and housing justice advocates who co-created five projects: a bilingual, illustrated children’s book; an interactive website; a single-player video game; an animated TV show pilot; and a podcast.
Impact Campaign Highlights:
- Crafting unique journeys for each project that navigated distinct distribution fields and audiences, engaging the collaboration of totally separate teams of artists and organizers, and activating partners across the country.
- For one of the projects, (the award-winning single-player video game, Dot’s Home), I also served as a Producer in a follow-up project to transform the video game into an interactive theater experience for Detroit communities. The play, Dot’s Home Live!, shed new light on housing struggles and city history and was performed by an ensemble cast of entirely Detroit-based actors in 2023.
“As a creative, organized and impassioned team member, Julia skillfully collaborated with over 70 organizations across the country to host screenings to inspire audiences about the lessons of community action in the South Bronx. Her leadership gave me the opportunity to participate in our impact campaign in ways that left me feeling inspired and that our goals were fulfilled.”
VIvian Vazquez Irizarry, director DECADE OF FIRE
“The energy Julia puts into her work is only matched by the passion which fuels it. Julia has delivered everything I hoped for, for Heightened Scrutiny, and more than I could have dreamt. The time and care that Julia puts toward building concrete relationships with our partners will continue to have material impact on their lives for a long time to come.”
Sam Feder, director, HEIGHTENED SCRUTINY
